Job Profile

 

JOB SUMMARY:  Hospital Operations Manager supports clinical and non-clinical personnel at assigned pavilion by planning, implementing, reviewing and controlling operational projects, process improvement initiatives and business development as defined by executive leadership, management and physicians.  Directly responsible for supervision and budget of assigned ancillary and support departments.  Directly responsible for  assigned ancillary and support departments and for operations at assigned pavilion, and additional roles by assignment. Manages resources and implements mid to large scale pavilion based projects while managing objectives, time and financial constraints, and organizational policies and procedures.  Must have demonstrated ability to work independently and execute multiple initiatives concurrently.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
         
Education/Specialized Training/Licensure:  Bachelor's Degree in Healthcare or Business Administration; Master's Preferred; Project Management Professional and/or Six Sigma Greenbelt preferred 

Work Experience (Years and Area):  Five (5) years in Healthcare Operations

Management Experience (Years and Area):  Two (2) years of progressively responsible managerial experience in healthcare operations is required, preferably in a large complex healthcare environment.
         
SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS: 

Communication Skills:  Above Average Verbal (Heavy Public Contact); Exceptional Verbal (Public Speaking);  Bilingual Skills Not Required but Spanish speaking is preferred; Writing/Composing: Correspondence/Reports
         
Other Skills:  Medical   Term.; Microsoft Office
